Jonestown Borough Council is a seven member board of representatives elected and duly sworn to serve the interests of the residents of Jonestown Borough. Council members and the Mayor serve four year terms. Each member serves on various sub-committees. Borough Council meets two times per month. The regular business meeting is on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm. Residents who wish to address Borough Council are asked to be on the agenda for the regular business meeting. Planning Workshops of the Jonestown Borough Council are held on the 4th Monday of every month at 6pm. The planning workshops are designed to give council time to discuss long range planning and issues that require lengthy discussion.
